Album/Cover art over bluetooth with finamp android

Anyone else not getting cover art over plain Bluetooth (not Android Auto)?

Title/artist come through fine, just no artwork on my car's head unit (Renault Mégane IV, the R-Link 2 one, stock Bluetooth, AVRCP already set to 1.6 in dev options). Art shows fine in the app itself and over wired AA, so it's not a general art problem. I'm using the latest beta, 1.0.1, but it didn't work even with previous versions

Weirdly, on iOS with the same Jellyfin library, cover art shows up fine over plain Bluetooth on the same car. So feels Android-specific rather than a car/AVRCP thing.

Anyone hit this or know if it's a known limitation? All my music is in flac format with cover arts embeeded into the file
