Boiler-House Fault Finding

Symptom First inspection
No steam Water, fuel/adjacent heat, redstone, loaded connected output.
Geothermal GUI cold after restart Check actual saved heat and water before replacing it; current code repairs the old temperature-key fault.
Long main seems weak Pipes have no distance loss. Check total demand, source water and unloaded sections.
Tank not filling Backup storage fills behind active demand. It is not a booster.
Tank not supplying Check redstone: it disables output.
Furnace not working It needs its own solid fuel as well as valid input and steam.
Drill spins but no loose drops Open its six output slots and inspect rear output inventory.
One drill reads zero Gauge is local. Check new output, full inventory, water supply and behaviour with other loads isolated.
Pump contains no fluid Verify source collection and output destination; isolate a known amount before restart testing.

Supply a counted batch and check real products. Save/reload and fully close/reopen the process. Direction, tanks, heat, inventory and unfinished work should persist. Do not break the suspicious machine before recording state.

Historical pump, geothermal, comparator, drill and reload faults have received maintained repairs; the old investigation register is not a list of all current open bugs. A similar symptom still deserves a reproduction rather than dismissal.

Report a Steam issue. Include exact jars, Forge, recipe mode, logs, a small layout, before/after quantities and full-restart steps. See shared fault-finding guidance.
