Add Fadester for OBS (Stream Deck SDK plugin) to the catalogue #105

Open

Description

@jbrick2070

Hello, and thanks for OpenDeck and the registry. Please could a maintainer add Fadester for OBS, a Stream Deck SDK plugin, to the catalogue? (The README says an issue is fine; validate_submission.py only lets maintainers add to the Stream Deck section, so I am not opening a PR.)

Proposed entry:

"com.jbrick2070.fadester-for-obs": {
	"name": "Fadester for OBS",
	"author": "Jeffrey A. Brick",
	"repository": "https://github.com/jbrick2070/streamdeck-fadester",
	"description": "Fadester for OBS: scenes, transitions, mixer fades, layers and audio on Stream Deck and OpenDeck keys and dials. Includes VJster.",
	"flags": {
		"ai_assisted": true
	}
}

What was tried in OpenDeck 2.14.2 (Windows 11, Stream Deck +, Node 25): the plugin loads and its ten actions list; its settings pages open; the ready-made layouts open as OpenDeck profiles and draw their keys and dials. A script in the repository (npm run opendeck:parity) runs the packed plugin the way OpenDeck starts it (same command line and plugin id, a stand-in for OpenDeck's side of the protocol) against a real OBS 33 and checks what OBS did: Next scene from the first scene and wrapping from the last, a key set to one scene, a fade key on an audio input, and a dial that lowers and raises its volume. All pass against the release file. Not tried: the Stream Deck Neo Info Bar, macOS, Linux. The plugin needs Node.js 24 or later on the machine (manifest Nodejs: 24). Notes for OpenDeck users are in docs/OPENDECK.md.

Happy to change anything the registry needs.

    Please open a PR for adding the plugin as is outlined in the Readme. Thats the only way to add Plugins.

    Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, @Terrorwolf01! I opened #106. I got a little sidetracked reading the OBS forum rules about listing plugins written mostly with AI, so I appreciate the steer.

    I'm an unabashed vibe coder, and I know people have different views on that. One thing I like about open source is that anyone can read the code and take it for a test drive. I've tested Fadester with OBS myself. Being able to fade the music with one key, ride the volume on a dial, and switch scenes from the same deck, all without setting up Python or writing a script, is priceless to me. If you give it a spin, I'd love to hear how it works for you.
