Research code for world models, from autoregressive board-game transformers to joint-embedding predictive architectures.
- LeJEPA lives in
worldlab.nn. The reproduction guide covers pretraining, linear probes, fine-tuning and experiment matrices. - LeWorldModel adds action-conditioned latent dynamics and planning. See the reproduction guide for training, control and physical diagnostics.
- Platonic Representation Hypothesis compares independently trained vision and text representations. See the PRH experiment guide.
- BoardGPT lives in
worldlab.board, with its PyTorch models inworldlab.nn. See the training configuration and interpretability toolkit.
conda env create -f environment.yml
conda activate WorldLabThis creates the WorldLab environment (Python 3.11), installs the package in editable mode and pulls all dependencies from requirements.txt (CUDA-enabled PyTorch via the cu128 index).
- CPU-only: remove the
--extra-index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu128line fromrequirements.txtand re-runconda env create -f environment.yml --force. - Python version note:
requires-python = ">=3.10"; check that the desired PyTorch build publishes a wheel for your Python version (3.11 is the default here).
python -m pip install -e '.[lejepa]'
worldlab-lejepa train --preset smoke --device cpu --output runs/lejepa-smokeInstall the board dependencies with python -m pip install -e '.[board]'. Import the board models alongside the JEPAs:
from worldlab.nn import GPTConfig, GameGPT, GameAutoEncoder, LeJEPA, LeWorldModel
from worldlab.board.games import OthelloGameUse worldlab-board for the game CLI and worldlab-board-train, worldlab-board-autoencoder or worldlab-board-probe for training. Existing boardGPT imports and root training scripts are compatibility entry points. Board model state dicts and training checkpoint keys use the original format.
